Underoath Drops New Video For “Wake Me”

Words By: Ashlyn Bruni

Underoath has just dropped a HEAVY new video for “Wake Me” off of their latest album “Erase Me”. The album was originally released last year, but the band recently dropped a deluxe version of it with the addition of 5 new tracks, including an acoustic version of “Wake Me”.

But the band didn’t stop there! Now they’re back with this TRIPPY video that brings your worst hospital nightmares to life. This feeling is AMPLIFIED even more when watching the video after smoking a blunt, which I would HIGH-ly recommend if you’re a fan of all things dark and creepy like me. Director/editor Wyatt Clough and Producer Emily Smillie did a scary good job of making you feel like you are in the middle of a horror film by shooting it in a first-person point of view – so smoke at your own risk. Don’t even get me started on those nightmarish black and white graphics that appear when the subject is unconscious; that shit had me questioning my own consciousness. But words can only say so much, so just watch the damn video already.
